Tallow is a natural, nutrient-rich fat made from the suet of grass-fed animals, like cows or sheep.
It's been used for centuries in skincare because it’s full of skin-friendly fatty acids and vitamins A, D, E, and K—similar to the natural oils in our own skin.
In skincare, tallow deeply hydrates, helps repair the skin’s barrier, and has gentle, anti-inflammatory properties, making it ideal for all skin types, including sensitive skin. When sourced from grass-fed animals, it’s especially high in vitamins and antioxidants, supporting soft, healthy, and glowing skin without clogging pores.
At AMA, we use only pure essential oils and natural extracts to scent our tallow. These are high-quality, plant-based oils that give our tallow a lovely, natural fragrance, like the vanilla and chocolate scent you’ll find in some of our products. We also use special extracts, like our coffee extract in the Tallow Eye Cream, which adds a rich, unique aroma.
We’re careful to only use safe amounts of these oils because they’re powerful and have healing properties. While we can’t add extra scent during production to keep everything balanced and safe, you’re welcome to add more essential oils to your product at home if you’d like a stronger fragrance!
Our tallow products are made with care using a slow and steady process to ensure top-notch quality. We have a standard 2-business week craft time for most orders, and it may extend to 3 business weeks during sales.
This allows us to maintain the high standards we're known for while offering a wide variety of scents and tallow-based products (one of the largest collections around!).

AMA standard tallow only has one ingredient- suet.
The magnesium infused tallow has added magnesium chloride in the form of Zechstein Magnesium Flakes, pure spring Mount Tamborine water and a little natural beeswax.
And the mens beard balm and candles have added natural pesticide free beeswax.That’s it!

Tallow is often well-suited for sensitive or eczema-prone skin. Our standard whipped, unscented tallow contains only pure tallow, with no added oils or ingredients, giving sensitive and eczema-prone skin a great chance at healing.
Since our tallow is grass-fed and finished, it’s rich in fat-soluble vitamins and free from toxic chemicals, fragrances, or additives. This purity makes it ideal for alleviating redness, inflammation, and irritation while reducing the risk of further flare-ups.

By choosing not to include labels, we save on marketing costs, allowing us to pass those savings directly to you. Instead, we provide all the necessary information — like ingredients and usage instructions — online for each product.
We also use clear jars so you can always see the quality of your tallow. Since we don’t use additives or preservatives, it's important for you to be able to keep an eye on your product. Shaded or amber jars can sometimes hide impurities, but by keeping it clear, we maintain our high-quality standards.
